पालिकेच्या आकस्मित 'कोरोना' बैठकीआडून ८२८ कोटींची रस्त्याची कामं बँक गॅरंटीशिवाय मंजूर?

मुंबई, १८ मार्च: मुंबईत ‘कोरोना’चा धोका वाढल्यामुळे मुंबई महानगरपालिकेच्या स्थायी समितीने आकस्मित बैठक बोलावली. मात्र कोरोनाच्या नावाने स्थायी समितीच तब्बल ८२८.२२ कोटीची रस्त्यांची कामे तातडीने मागू लावण्यासाठी कोणत्याही बँक गॅरेंटीशिवाय कंत्राड देण्यात आलं आहे. भाजपने देखील यावरून मोठा विरोध दर्शवल्याचं पाहायला मिळालं.

मात्र शिवसेनेने बहुमताच्या जोरावर विरोधकांच्या मागणीकडे दुर्लक्ष केल्याचा आरोप करण्यात आला आहे. आजच्या बैठक कोरोनाच्या आपत्कालीन परिस्थितीला पाहून बोलाविण्यात आली, मात्र त्यात शिवसेनेने नियम धाब्यावर बसवून गैरप्रकारे संधीचा फायदा घेत रस्ते बांधणीच्या नावाने ८२८.२२ कोटीची कामं मजूर करून घेतली असा घणाघात विरोधकांनी केला आहे.

भाजपचे आमदार नितेश राणे यांनी देखील या संदर्भात ट्विट करून यावर आक्षेप नोंदवला आहे. मात्र गैरप्रकार एकदमच उजेडात येऊ नये म्हणून ‘कोरोना’चा सामना करण्यासाठी कराव्या लागणाऱ्या उपाययोजना तातडीने करता याव्यात यासाठी अतिरिक्त आयुक्तांना ५ ते १० कोटी तर उपआयुक्तांना १ ते ५ कोटींपर्यंतचा खर्च करण्याचे अधिकार देण्यात आले आहेत. याबाबतच्या महत्त्वपूर्ण प्रस्तावाला आज स्थायी समितीच्या बैठकीत मंजुरी देण्यात आली. आतापर्यंत पालिकेच्या आयुक्तांनाच ५० लाखांपर्यंतच्या खर्चाला स्वतःच्या अधिकारात मंजुरी देण्याचा अधिकार होता. या पार्श्वभूमीवर स्थायी समितीत घेतलेला निर्णय महत्त्वपूर्ण ठरणार आहे.
