निर्भया प्रकरण : नराधमांच्या फाशीला पुढील आदेशापर्यंत पुन्हा स्थगिती

नवी दिल्ली: दिल्लीसह देश हादरवणाऱ्या निर्भया गँगरेप प्रकरणात 4 गुन्हेगारांना उद्या म्हणजे 3 मार्चला फाशी देण्यात येणार होती. पण अखेरच्या क्षणी कोर्टाने या चौघांची फाशी थांबवण्याचे आदेश दिले. पटियाला न्यायालयाने पुढच्या आदेशापर्यंत निर्भयाच्या दोषींच्या फाशीला स्थगिती दिली आहे. पुढचे आदेश मिळत नाहीत तोवर आता ही फाशी होणार नाही.

या प्रकरणातील एक दोषी पवन गुप्ता याची दया याचिका राष्ट्रपतींकडे प्रलंबित आहे. त्यामुळे या प्रकरणी त्याच्यासह इतर तीन दोषींना मंगळवारी फाशी देता येणार नाही, असे न्यायालयाने स्पष्ट केले. या सुनावणीवेळी अतिरिक्त सत्र न्यायाधीश धर्मेंद्र राणा यांनी पवन गुप्ता यांच्या वकिलांना खडे बोल सुनावले. न्यायालय म्हणाले, तुम्ही आगीशी खेळता आहात. तुम्हाला सतर्क राहिले पाहिजे. कुणाकडून एक चुकीचे पाऊल उचलले गेले तर त्याचे परिणाम काय होतील, तुम्हाला माहितीये. विनय शर्मा, मुकेशकुमार सिंह, पवन गुप्ता आणि अक्षय ठाकूर अशी दोषींची नावे आहेत.

निर्भयाच्या आईने पुन्हा दोषींची फाशीची शिक्षा कोर्टाच्या पुढील आदेशापर्यंत टळल्याने संतप्त प्रतिक्रिया दिली आहे. निर्भयाच्या दोषींना फाशी देण्याच्या स्वत: च्या आदेशाची अंमलबजावणी करण्यासाठी कोर्ट इतका वेळ का घेत आहे? असा सवाल निर्भयाची आई आशादेवी यांनी उपस्थित केला. तसेच वारंवार फाशीच्या शिक्षेची अंमलबजावणी पुढे ढकलणं हे आपल्या सिस्टमचे अपयश दर्शवते आणि आपली संपूर्ण सिस्टम गुन्हेगारांना अभय देते असल्याची कटू प्रतिक्रिया आशादेवी यांनी दिली.
