Significantly, the police recruitment process was halted for some time due to the epidemic caused by the corona virus. “To strengthen law and order, Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel has decided to start the recruitment process to fill 27,847 posts in the Home Department,” the release said. Armed and non-armed police sub-inspectors, assistant sub-inspectors, intelligence officers, constables, police sub-inspectors of wireless and motor transport divisions, home guards and personnel of village guards will be recruited. The recruitment will improve the functioning of the police in the state and also increase employment opportunities, the release said.

गुजरात सरकार जल्दी ही 27,847 पुलिसकर्मियों की भर्ती प्रक्रिया की शुरुआत करेगी जिसमें उप निरीक्षकों और होमगार्डों के रिक्त पदों को भरा जाएगा। सोमवार को एक अधिकारी ने यह जानकारी दी। आधिकारिक विज्ञप्ति में कहा गया कि गुजरात के गृह राज्यमंत्री हर्ष सांघवी ने 19 सितंबर को विभिन्न पुलिस भर्ती बोर्ड के अध्यक्षों के साथ समीक्षा बैठकें कर उन्हें जल्द से जल्द भर्ती प्रक्रिया समाप्त करने का निर्देश दिया था।

गौरतलब है कि कोरोना वायरस जनित महामारी के कारण बीते कुछ समय से पुलिस भर्ती प्रक्रिया रुकी हुई थी। विज्ञप्ति में कहा गया, “कानून एवं व्यवस्था को मजबूत करने के लिए मुख्यमंत्री भूपेंद्र पटेल ने गृह विभाग में 27,847 पदों को भरने की भर्ती प्रक्रिया शुरू करने का निर्णय लिया है। सशस्त्र और गैर सशस्त्र पुलिस उप निरीक्षकों, सहायक उप निरीक्षकों, खुफिया अधिकारियों, कांस्टेबलों, वायरलेस और मोटर परिवहन डिवीजन के पुलिस उप निरीक्षकों, होम गार्ड तथा ग्राम रक्षक दलों के कर्मियों की भर्ती की जाएगी।”

विज्ञप्ति में कहा गया कि भर्ती से राज्य में पुलिस के कार्य में सुधार होगा और रोजगार के अवसर में भी वृद्धि होगी। (एजेंसी)
